I am Soil Science graduate and an enthusiastic researcher focusing mostly on soil-plant-microbe interactions. I completed my Masters in Soil Science from Texas A&M University, US and Bachelors in Agricultural Science from Agriculture and Forestry University, Nepal.
The invisible soil microbes beneath our feet always fuel my imagination. They are powerhouse of everything from greenhouse gas mitigation to soil and water remediation and fighting off plant pathogens to improve production. I love learning and exploring these tiny organisms and would love to connect with y'all great curious minds.
This research tackles nitrous oxide emissions from agricultural soils, a major driver of global warming. By modifying manure application practices—mixing manure into soil or adding biochar—the study enhances soil microbes that consume nitrous oxide, reducing emissions by 60–70% through improved microbial balance and reduced gas escape.
