This research examines the experiences of South Asian women filmmakers in the UK, revealing how economic inequality intersects with race, migration, gender and caring responsibilities. Interviews show significant barriers to careers and funding, but also remarkable resilience as filmmakers create alternative networks, crowdfunding strategies and international collaborations to tell their stories.

This study examines how restaurant entrepreneurs communicate innovation in crowdfunding campaigns. Using a five-dimensional framework and linguistic analysis of Kickstarter data, it finds that product/service and process innovation significantly predict funding success. Entrepreneurs succeed when they promise compelling customer experiences supported by reliable operational execution.
